How does QuickCrew work?
For workers: QuickCrew connects you with businesses in Queenstown looking for staff. Browse available shifts, apply instantly, and get confirmed quickly — all through the app.
For businesses: QuickCrew makes it easy to post shifts and find available staff in Queenstown, all in one place.
How do I find and apply for shifts?
Once you have created a profile and it has been approved, you can use the QuickCrew APP to find and apply for shifts. Open the app and set your location for shift searches. You can view the shifts available and click the "Join shift" button.
Do I need to pay to use the app?
No, QuickCrew is free for workers to use. You will not be charged for signing up or applying for shifts.
What type of visa do I need to be eligible to work for QuickCrew?
You can work with QuickCrew if you are:
- New Zealand citizen,
- Resident, or if you hold
- an open visa,
- a Working Holiday visa, or
- a student visa.
When you sign up, you’ll need to provide us proof of your right to work in New Zealand, and this will be verified by us before you can start working.
What information do I need to create my profile?
You’ll need to provide your name, date of birth, email, phone number, address, a profile photo, your work history, and proof of your right to work in New Zealand. All information must be accurate and truthful. To ensure everyone’s safety and compliance, you’ll be asked to verify your identity by providing valid identification, and your profile will be reviewed and verified before you’re able to work.
How long does it takes to have my profile verified?
Profile verification usually takes a short time. Once you’ve submitted all required information and documents, we’ll review them and confirm your profile. You’ll receive a notification in the app as soon as your profile has been verified, so you can start working right away.
How do I manage my availability?
For workers: There’s no commitment required. You’re in full control of your availability — you choose when you’re available and apply only for the shifts that suit your schedule. Work as much or as little as you like, whenever it works for you.
For businesses: The app is available for you to post your staffing needs whenever you need. You can post shifts quickly and find staff on demand, with no long-term commitments.
How much will I get paid for each shift?
The pay rate will be clearly displayed on the shift details within the QuickCrew app before you apply. Please note that the hourly rate already includes the 8% holiday pay.
How and when do I get paid?
Payments are made on a fortnightly basis via bank transfer. Your wages will be deposited directly into the bank account you provided during the onboarding process.
Are there minimum or maximum shift hours?
Each shift will list its hours. You can choose the ones that fit your schedule — some may be short shifts, others longer.
Please note that all shifts are subject to our cancellation policy, and the length of a shift may sometimes be slightly adjusted depending on the business’s needs, so make sure to check the details before accepting.
Do I need to provide references or proof of experience?
Yes, we do require proof of your identity and your work experience. This helps us ensure that we provide a high-quality service and match workers with the right businesses for their needs. Your profile will be reviewed, and once it has been verified, you’ll be able to start working.
Is my personal information safe on QuickCrew?
Yes! We take privacy seriously and protect all your information with secure systems.
Are the businesses verified and trustworthy?
Yes, all the businesses we work with are verified. We make sure they comply with all the health and safety standards required by New Zealand law, so you can feel confident when accepting shifts.
Do I have to accept every shift?
Not at all! You choose the shifts you want — you’re in control of your schedule. Just make sure to check the cancellation policies before accepting a shift.
Can I work for multiple businesses at the same time?
Yes! You can pick shifts from different businesses as long as the times don’t overlap.
Who do I contact if I have a problem with a shift?

Is there someone to help me set up my profile?
Yes! Our team can guide you through setting up your profile and making it stand out.
What if I can’t make a shift I accepted?
If you can’t make a shift you’ve accepted, please follow our cancellation policy, which provides instructions for each situation. If it’s an urgent matter, you can contact QuickCrew directly via WhatsApp for immediate assistance.
